The Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences programme prepares graduates to work in the area of management, administration, research and development of clinical/medical laboratories. The course is structured to provide the graduate with theoretical, practical skills and attitudes in medical/clinical laboratory techniques especially disease diagnosis and research.
To provide an avenue for higher training for technologists and technicians of medical laboratory sciences. To improve the training in the area of clinical/medical Laboratory to encourage research and innovation.. To extend the capacity of medical laboratory graduates to include aspects of pharmacy, biotechnology and investigative medicine.
Be a holder of K C S E (or equivalent examination) certificate with a minimum aggregate of C+
and EITHER,B in Biology and Chemistry, C- in Mathematics or Physics, B- in Biological Sciences,B- in Physical Sciences. Be a holder of a higher national diploma, diploma or professional certificate in a relevant discipline from an institution or examination body recognized by the University Senate.
