Entry requirements for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of surgery ( MBChB)

  • At least KCSE mean grade B and B in
    Biology ,Chemistry Physics/Mathematics ,English/Kiswahili OR; B in
    Biological Sciences ,Physical Sciences ,Mathematics , English/Kiswahili
  • Advanced Level HoldersA minimum of 2
    principal passes; one in Biology and the other in Chemistry and 1
    subsidiary pass in either Mathematics or Physics. Biology – Principal
    ,Chemistry – Principal Physics - Principal ,General Paper – Pass
  • Diploma in Medical Sciences A minimum O
    level Division II pass or B Mean Grade and credit pass B in the cluster
    subjects in K.C.S.E. in addition to a credit pass in the following
    professional qualifications from a recognized medical training
    institution. "O" level division II with credit passes in Biology &
    Physics or Physical sciences and Mathematics or B mean grade in K.C.S.E
    with an average cluster weight of 32 on relevant subjects as shown above
    , in addition to a credit pass following professional qualifications
    from the Kenya medical training college or a recognized training
    institution .
  • Holders of any degree in Biological Sciences or microbiology from any recognized University
  • Holders of other qualification deemed
    to be equivalent of the qualification mentioned above particularly for
    foreign students may be admitted upon consideration by the academic
    board and the senate.
