The Bachelor of Science nursing programme of Kenya Methodist University (KEMU) is offered in collaboration with Maua Methodist University, Meru Level 5 hospital and PCEA Chogoria hospital.
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing offered by KeMU is an integrated programme to prepare graduates with capacity of providing leadership in professional nursing practice, nursing education, nursing and health care administration and nursing research.
The graduate will utilize his/her skills based on the knowledge derived from theory, practical's and evidence based on research and in relation to emerging health needs of a changing society.
The graduate of this programme will be capable of functioning effectively in a variety of health care settings; promotive, preventative, curative and rehabilitative.
All nursing courses include intensive training in theory and clinical practices. Graduates will be registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK) after fulfilling its requirements
The curriculum will frequently be reviewed and appropriate changes made in line with new trends in health care and the health needs of the country.
The Department of Nursing Science will be recognized for student focused training responding to the changing needs of those it serves.
