
The Bachelor of Arts in Development studies programme at Catholic University of Eastern Africa is designed as interdisciplinary, deeply rooted in developmental theoretical framework, research and analytical skills for understanding the fundamental economic, policy issues, social welfare action plans and the main factors influencing development. It aims to produce, highly motivated personnel who are guided by Christian values to work in development - oriented organizations.
To be accepted for the Bachelors of Arts in Development Studies programme at CUEA, a candidate requires:
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Certificate with a minimum aggregate of C+.
OR
Be a holder of Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (or equivalent education) with a minimum of two principal passes and one subsidiary pass
OR
Be a holder of a diploma or proffessional certificate in a relevant discipline from an institution recognized by the University Senate.
OR
Be a holder of any other qualification accepted by the University Senate as equivalent to any of the above.

Equip students with knowledge of development studies and the skills to apply development principles to solving problems facing humanity. Impart in students conceptual, social administrative and analytical skills, necessary for dealing with development issues in a varietal of settings.
The programme will be offered on both full-time and part time basis.
