Morendat Institute of Oil and Gas

Morendat Institute of Oil & Gas (MIOG) offers training in oil & gas related courses. It was set up following heads of state summit consisting of presidents of Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and South Sudan during the 3rd Heads of State Summit held in Kigali, Rwanda, on October 28, 2013. In this meeting, member states resolved to establish Centres of Excellence in the region to offer capacity building for the Northern Corridor Integration Projects (NCIP).

Morendat Institute of Oil & Gas (MIOG) is the only one of its kind in the region. Owned by Kenya Pipeline Ltd - the only white oil transportation and storage company spanning over forty years experience.

Morendat Institute of Oil and Gas aims to:

• Build human resource capacity in the member states to manage, operate and maintain Oil & Gas Pipelines.
• Harness internal knowledge and develop new skills required by KPC to implement the Corporate Strategic Plan – Vision 2025.
• Conduct Research and offer consultancy services in various technical fields in Oil & Gas Pipelines.
• Become a regulator of Oil & Gas Training in the Region.
