About Advanced Meteorological Technician Course Diploma program.

The Advanced Meteorological Technician Course (AMTC)-WMO Class II  equips the trainee with knowledge and skills to work as an Advanced-level Meteorological Technician with prospects to work in weather /climate/environmental monitoring, forecasting, research, and training.

The training provides the student with the skills and knowledge contained in the Basic Instruction Package for Meteorological Technicians. It further seeks to ensure that the trainees can demonstrate skills and requisite competencies to work as a Meteorological Technician.

Entry requirements for Advanced Meteorological Technician Course

  • KCSE mean grade C (plain) or equivalent.
  • Credits in English, Mathematics and Physics/ Physical Science
