Introduces trainee to Meteorology and prepares them for a professional career in Aeronautical Meteorological Forecasting in an operational forecasting office.
The training provides the student with the Basic Instruction Package for Meteorologists working at Aeronautical Meteorological. Forecasting Offices in line with WMO No. 1083.
It further equips the trainee with the knowledge to demonstrate the requisite skills and competencies for Aeronautical Meteorological Forecasters.
Upon completion, the participants will be able to analyze and monitor the weather situation, forecast aeronautical meteorological phenomena, warn of hazardous phenomena, ensure the quality of meteorological information, and communicate meteorological information to users.
