Animation is concerned with the creation and movement of computer graphic imagery/characters by either hand-drawing each frame or digitally manipulating characters and story boards for games, television, the web, or feature films with consistency in lighting, color, and mood
Our Certificate in Animation and Digital Media Design is intended to train students in these areas of Graphic Design, Multimedia content development, creation and rendering of Animations, Web development and Design.

Our Animation labs are furnished with computers whose specifications meet industry standards for teaching of the course.
Our technical team works around the clock in upgrading software and technical material needed in conducting classes for the programme.
Nairobi Institute of Technology Animation & Digital Media Design department is best known for exposing our students to opportunities in the job industry. Our students attend expos, exhibitions and Digital media design fairs to showcase their work and the chance to intern with leading animation companies.
Students take internal termly examinations. After completion of the first academic year, all students seek placement for industrial attachment in relevant fields before proceeding to the next semester. This attachment is supervised and graded by one of our lecturers.
Course Duration: Certificate – six (6) months
After the animation and Digital Design Certificate, what next?
After successful completion of the course, graduates can work as professional web designers, graphic designers, sound producers or animators.
