Our Diploma in Architecture is a programme offered by N.I.T in collaboration with Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology.
The Diploma in Architecture (JKUAT) is suitable for A level graduates who wish to learn the art of drawing, designing, planning and construction of buildings i.e erection of habitable construction works.
The University Diploma is intended to equip students with Knowledge & Skills to create architectural designs that satisfy both aesthetic and technical requirements.
Classes are conducted in our spacious design studios where our studio masters lecture and supervise all trainings conducted.
Our studio masters are vetted and approved by the university senate to meet teaching standards set by the commission for university education.
All students attend workshops and site visits to put in practice what is taught in the classroom set up.
For successful completion of the course, each student must go through industrial attachment in relevant fields.This attachment is supervised and graded by one of our lecturers.
Course Duration: Two and a half (2 1/2) years
After successful completion of the course, trainees can work as architectural assistants in architectural and civil engineering firms. Graduates of this programme can also further studies in Architectural Technology at Bachelors level.
