This bachelor of education (Arts) degree programme aims at developing professionals who can initiate sustainable social development in the community through formal and informal education. This programme aims at training and developing professionals who are well equipped in seeking solutions to the diverse social challenges in the specialized fields of Education, Counselling Psychology, Social Work and Community Development.

Bachelor of Education (Arts) in any (2) two of the following subjects: English, Literature in English, Kiswahili, Philosophy and Religious Studies, History, Geography, Mathematics, Business Studies.

Entry requirements for Bachelor of Education (Arts)

  • KCSE Aggregate C+ (plus) or equivalent with at least C+ (plus) in two teaching subjects Or
  • Diploma in Education, S1 or P1 from a recognized institution with at least two years teaching experience after training and a Mean Grade of C (plain) at KCSE or Division 111 at KCE or (1) Principal) & (1) Subsidiary at KACE
