Bachelor of Education Geography Program Offered at Catholic University of Eastern Africa

The Bachelor of Education in Geography at Catholic University of Eastern Africa is designed to train teachers for secondary schools with a view of imparting adequate knowledge as is required for teachers of geography in secondary schools

The Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences (Economics) at Catholic University of Eastern Africa seeks to:
1. Impart adequate knowledge of Geography required for teachers of Geography at secondary school level.
2. Prepare students for graduate study.

To be accepted for the Bachelors of Education in Geography programme at CUEA, a candidate requires:
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education with the minimum mean grade of C+ (Plus) And a minimum grade of C in Geography and D+ in Mathematics
OR
A Principal pass in the A-Levels in the Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (A-Levels) or GCE A-Level or the equivalent Kenya Advanced Certificate of education with a minimum of 2 principal passes or the equivalent
OR
To the three year programme, applicants with either a principal pass in Geography at the Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education examination and a pass in Mathematics at Ordinary leve or their equivalent.
OR

To the two year programme, applicants with a credit in Geography at a diploma i Education examination or its equivalent.

Depending on the prospective students qualifications the Bacheor of Education in Geography at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa can be either a four year programme, three year programme or a two year programme

Four Year Bacheor of Education Programme.
In the first year of study at CUEA, students shall take two common courses, four courses in geography, three in education and four from another department.
In the second year of study at CUEA, students shall take two common courses, four courses in Geography, five in education and four from another department.
In the third year of study at CUEA, students shall take four courses in Geography, five in education and four from another department.
In the fourth year of study at CUEA, students shall take three courses in Geography, five in education and three in the other department


Three Year Bacheor of Education Programme.
In the first year of study at CUEA, students shall take two common courses, four courses in geograp, five in education and four from another department.
In the second year of study at
