Structure of the Programme
The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Riara University takes four academic years.
To qualify for the award of the degree, a candidate must take a minimum of fifty six (56) course units or 168 credit hours which are inclusive of a Computer Science Project, a community based attachment and an industrial attachment.
All these are tailored to ensure that our graduates become self-reliant, self-motivated, creative and innovative.

All students admitted to the degree of Bachelor of Computer Science degree program at Riara University must satisfy the minimum requirements of:

• A Mean grade of C+ (plus) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) ) and a minimum of grade C+ in both Mathematics and Physics or Physical Sciences; or its equivalent; or
• A Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (A-Level) with a minimum of two principal passes and a subsidiary and a minimum of a credit pass in both Mathematics and Physics., or its equivalent; or
• A Diploma from a recognized institution; or
• A Pre-University certificate from an institution recognized by the Senate, with a minimum GPA of 2.50; or
• A degree in a science-based discipline from a recognized university by the University Senate.
