About Bachelor of Technology in Civil and Structural Engineering Bachelors Degree program.

The Department of Civil and Structural Engineering offers a Bachelor of Technology
programme in Civil and Structural Engineering. The programme lays a heavy emphasis on practical
application of knowledge, while at the same time recognizes the importance of development of correct
attitudes alongside theoretical and intellectual development of the graduate engineer.

Objectives of Bachelor of Technology in Civil and Structural Engineering

The main objectives of the Bachelor of Technology in Civil and Structural Engineering programme
are to:
1. prepare graduate engineers who can accomplish the design and construction of buildings and infrastructure facilities, using professional considerations.
2. achieve a practical orientation of the graduate engineers.
3. prepare the graduate engineers with sound knowledge in the fundamentals so as to enable them to participate in applied theoretical research as well as consultancy services.
4. develop vocational and entrepreneurial skills among graduate engineers as a basis for employment and further studies.
5. develop positive and responsive vocational attitudes, initiative and creative thinking oriented to the world of work.
