About Community Health & Development Diploma program.

The Community Health & Development diploma programme at Jodan College of Technology is designed to address the prevention of disease, the prolonging of life and the promotion of health through organized efforts of society. This programme aims to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to identify community health needs and to develop policies and actions to improve public health. This will enable the graduates to acquire knowledge, skills and competencies that will be useful in facilitating the public to plan and manage their own health and development activities.

Jodan College of Technology graduates are expected to provide leadership in planning for strategic approaches and interventions to address emerging and re-emerging health problems. The graduates should also be capable of effectively working within varied national and international contexts and backgrounds, competently responding to the changing global trends in health and development. In addition, the graduates should be well prepared to pursue further academic endeavors and research in order to adequately compete in the dynamic job market of the Public Health profession.
