About Cyber Security Diploma program.

This Diploma in Cyber Security course offered at Equip Africa Institute is designed to equip a Cybersecurity technician with the competencies required to perform cybersecurity duties.

Some of the skills that cybersecurity students gain include the ability to perform computer repair and maintenance, apply cybersecurity laws, policies and regulations, perform computer networking, software application security, database security, cybersecurity system installation, cybersecurity risk assessment, security assessment, and testing and security operation management.

Assessment

The course will be assessed at two levels: internally and externally. Internal assessment is continuous and is conducted by the trainer who is monitored by an internal accredited verifier while external assessment is the responsibility of TVET CDACC.

Certification

On successful completion of all units of learning, a trainee will be awarded a Diploma in Cyber Security issued by TVET CDACC in conjunction with Equip Africa Institute.

Entry requirements for Cyber Security

An individual entering this cyber security diploma course at Equip Africa Institute should have any of the following minimum requirements:

  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E.) with a minimum mean grade of C- (minus)
  • Certificate in Cyber Security a related course with one year of continuous work experience
  • Equivalent qualifications as determined by Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA)
