In one month, students will learn how to professionally and competently use the Excavator and Roller/Compactor, for roller & compactor operations.
Excavator
In 1 month, students will learn how to professionally and competently learn how to use the Excavator revolving around the following techniques;
- Site preparation and land clearing,
- Safety,
- Hand signals and maintenance,
- Foundation and footing excavation,
- Truck loading,
- Safe trenching practices for underground services,
- Road building and Grading,
- Logical job sequences,
- Simulation training using our state of the art simulator.
Students will also have the ability to carry out required daily and scheduled maintenance tasks based on the Operator Maintenance Routines. Courses are competency based, job oriented and in accordance with the regulations set out by the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA)
Compacting Roller
In 1 month, students will professionally learn how to use the Roller/Compactor, for roller & compactor operations in the mining industry.
It includes:
- planning and preparing;
- conducting machine pre-operational checks;
- selecting, removing and fitting attachments;
- operation including compacting materials to pattern and density, sealing and finishing, relocating the machine;
- and carrying out operator maintenance and clean up.
Students will also have the ability to carry out required daily and scheduled maintenance tasks based on the Operator Maintenance Routines.
This Excavator and Roller course is competency based, job oriented and in accordance with the regulations set out by the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA)
