About Hotel Management Diploma program.

The 2-year joint Boma International Hospitality College (BIHC) and Business and Hotel Management School (BHMS) diplomas in Hotel Management represent a focused program of studies that cover all major theoretical and practical components of a hotel operation.

Students gain an understanding of how the hotel product is intended to exist and be performed within the two most important operating departments: the Rooms Division and Food & Beverage, through dedicated theories and applications within Boma Hotels.

Within 2 years, students are expected to master all facets of operations, also through inputs from supporting theories including among others F&B and RD management, human resources, sales marketing and social media marketing, energy and ecology, accounting/finance, resorts management. The ultimate aim is to progress for a bachelor in hotel management.

Entry requirements for Hotel Management

  • KCSE Mean grade C- (MINUS) with C- (MINUS) or above in English or Kiswahili and a D (PLAIN) in Mathematics
  • IB/ A – Level 4 Credits
  • IGCSE 4 'O' Passes with D and above and/or equivalent of a mean grade of C- (MINUS) with E in Math and a D English or Kiswahili
  • SATs 1060 and above out of 1600
