This Counsellor Supervision Training course is a Clinical Supervision Training programme.
This is a Competency-Based Approach comprehensive training for training counselor practitioners supervising other mental health practitioners and caregivers. Supervision is central to training for psychologists and other mental health professionals in clinical settings.
The training programme aims at providing supervisors with framework or guidance through an introduction to supervision theory, process, skills, or competences tailored to contemporary practice. The training emphasizes the identification and development of specific competencies in the supervisors.
The training takes trainees through process of supervision that clearly delineates the competencies required for good practice. Utilises an integrative approach to mental health professionals who currently provide supervision in academic, training, and practice settings as well as to students and practitioners
Clinical Supervision provides guidance on both clinical and supervisory competencies and accounts for recent professional developments in supervision and practice.
The Counsellor Supervision Training course is over a period of four Months broken down in three phases.
Phase 1: 70 hours tuition
Phase 2: 100 hours of Supervised practice, assessment and field attachment
Phase 3: 70 contact hours of review on the practice
