Prepares the trainee for a professional career in Operational Meteorology through simulations and on-the-job training (OJT). At the end of the course the trainees will be able to demonstrate the requisite competencies for operational forecasters.
They will thus be able to; analyze and monitor the weather situation, forecast meteorological phenomena, warn of hazardous phenomena, ensure quality of meteorological information and communicate meteorological information to users.
