Social Work Program Offered at Equip Africa Institute

This certificate in Social Work course offered at Equip Africa Institute is designed to equip individuals with the competencies required to practice as a Social Worker.

This social work course reflects the employers’ demand for qualified personnel, which would enable them to compete in an environment where the technology is constantly evolving, and the expectations of what a social worker can do are becoming ever more demanding and dynamic in nature.

Assessment

The course will be assessed at two levels: internally and externally. Internal assessment is continuous and is conducted by the trainer who is monitored by an internal accredited verifier while external assessment is the responsibility of TVET CDACC.

Certification

On successful completion of all units of learning, a trainee will be awarded a Certificate in Social Work issued by TVET CDACC in conjunction with Equip Africa Institute.

An individual entering this social work course at Equip Africa Institute should have any of the following minimum requirements:

• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E.) with a minimum mean grade of D (plain)
• Equivalent qualifications as determined by Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA)
