Sports Administration and Management Program Offered at Kenyatta University

The Sports Administration and Management programme at Kenyatta University equips a student with the necessary skills to oversee the elements of sport that are essential to maintaining a strong athletic organization. Everything from facilities management to brand marketing to financial analysis can fall under the purview of sport management.

Applicants for the Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Administration course shall have attained a minimum academic qualification of Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a recognized University.

The duration of the course will be one academic year of two semesters during which 10 units of 35 contact hours each will be covered and a research project undertaken.

In order to qualify for the award of Kenyatta University Postgraduate Diploma in this programme, a candidate shall be expected to have passed CATS, Research Project and the final written examinations with a minimum score of 50%.

Each candidate will also be expected to successfully complete a practicum of four (4) months during which she/he will be expected to prepare and submit a written report supervised and assessed by a University Examiner.
