About Water Resources Technology & Management Certificate program.

The Certificate in Water Resources Technology and Management of the Kenya Water Institute (KEWI) takes two academic years with one graded industrial attachment session in the third semester of the first year lasting for 12 continuous weeks.

The Water Resources Technology and Management syllabus has been developed on a competency-based approach so that the trainee is able to have knowledge and skills in water resources technology and management.

This programme is intended to impart skills, knowledge and attitudes that the trainee will apply in water resources management

Entry requirements for Water Resources Technology & Management

The minimum qualification for entry to the craftsman certificate programme in Water Resources Technology & Management is as follows:

  • Kenya certificate of Secondary Education with an aggregate mean grade D+ (plus), or
  • An approved equivalent qualification which may be from Kenya or from other countries
  • A minimum grade of D+ in each of the following subjects: English, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry or Physical Sciences.

N/B Equation of international academic qualifications shall be done in consultation with Kenya National Examinations council (KNEC).
