Since independence, exponential growth in Early Childhood Development and Education (ECDE) has been witnessed in Kenya. The significant growth has been due to the proven benefits of promoting children’s access to primary education and also the need to encourage language, physical, cognitive and social development of the whole child. Increased investment in ECDE also provides opportunities for stakeholder empowerment and early identification and intervention for vulnerable children and those with special needs.
The Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood Development and Education program will provide opportunities for academic and work-related mobility to professionals involved with ECDE. Graduates of this program will work as teachers, trainers, consultants, program officers, and managers of ECDE in government and non-governmental organizations.
Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood Development and Education program aims at producing graduates with the ability to identify and stimulate the development of creativity among young children.
