About Electronics Mechanic


This NITA Electronics Mechanic Certificate course is designed to provide flexible, skills-based training in the fundamentals of electronics. Trainees are exposed to creating, testing and repairing circuits; troubleshoot semiconductors; and use and interface microprocessors.

Learners of this course are able to diagnose problems and repair common Electronic Devices like Radio, TV, Phones, Computers, woofers etc.

Electronics mechanics fit, maintain, adjust and repair electronic equipment such as commercial and office machines and electronic instruments and control systems.

The Course prepares graduates of for employment and/or employing themselves as Electronics Technician offering Electronics Repair services.

Objectives of Electronics Mechanic


Graduates of this Electronics Mechanic Certificate course will be able to:

  • examine and test machines, intruments, components, other equipment, instruments and control systems to identify faults.
  • adjust, repair, and replace worn and defective parts and wiring, and maintaining machines, equipment and instruments
  • reassemble and test operating and adjusting equipment
  • install electronic instruments and control systems
  • coordinat work with that of engineers, technicians, and other maintenance personnel
  • interpret test data to diagnose malfunctions and systemic performance problems
  • install, adjust, repair or replace electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems using hand tools, power tools, or soldering irons
  • connect components to assemblies such as radio systems, instruments, magnetos, inverters, and in-flight refueling systems
  • keep records of maintenance and repair work.
