The course caters to students who are interested in fish, fisheries, marine biology and limnology and who want to learn more about sustainable use and conservation of our natural resources.

    • Marine products used by artisans to make crafts include shells, coral, bones, skins, teeth, stones (pebbles), scales, whole animals, beach sand, and sea water

    Entry Requirements

    The minimum entry requirements for the certificate in fisheries science and technology course are:

    • KCSE Mean Grade D (Plain) or;
    • Pass in relevant Artisan Course or;
    • Equivalent qualification approved by KNEC.
