Taita Taveta University College (TTUC) is a fast growing Institution located in Taita Taveta County on Voi-Mwatate road, about 8 kilometers from the Nairobi-Mombasa highway.
It lies in a serene environment bordering Tsavo East National Park on the east and Tsavo West National Park on the North West, the home of the Red elephants
The University College currently has four schools namely;
- The School of Mines and Engineering,
- School of Business Economics and Social Sciences,
- School of Science and Informatics and School of Agriculture,
- Earth and Environmental Sciences.
Each school provides competitive courses in line with Kenyas Vision 2030 and the Millennium Development Goals and also with the labor market.
Our flagship course is in Mining and Mineral Processing Engineering and we pride ourselves as the University of mining in Kenya aiming to be a regional leader in this sector considering our location in mineral rich area.

Taita Taveta University College - History
TTUC opened her gates in 2007 as Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) Taita Taveta Campus and later in 2011 was upgraded to a Constituent.
Due to her very attractive courses, the population in the University College has risen to 2000 students undertaking Masters, Undergraduate, Diploma and Certificate programs. The University College has a constant presence of international scholars through its established international linkages with reputable Universities across the world.
The mission of the College is to produce leaders and professionals in engineering, science and entrepreneurship through knowledge creation, dissemination and application of socio-economic development.
The vision is to be a premier University in education, training, research, innovation and community outreach for sustainable development.
Taita Taveta University College programs are guided by its Mission and Vision, and is proud as a mining and mineral processing engineers hub.
