Technical University of Mombasa is an ISO certified institution and a University of Global Excellence in Advancing Knowledge, Science and Technology.
The origin of TUM can be traced back to the late 1940s, the first institution of higher learning to be established in the coastal region.
Technical University of Mombasa is strategically located in the heart of Mombasa Island which makes it easily accessible and also able to access the vital services such as security, transport among the rest. The school ocean breeze offers an unmatched serene environment for the students to study.

Technical University of Mombasa (TUM) is profoundly committed to upholding the quest to provide higher education as envisioned by the founders. Technical University of Mombasa offers a variety of courses in Engineering, Social Sciences, Applied Sciences and Business.

The University admits students across the globe ranging from Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) to Self-Sponsored programmes. The specialty distinctive courses in Engineering such as Mining, Marine, and Business among others enable TUM to stand out within the African continent and the globe at large.
